Course Description:

The Dental Practice Act (DPA) Online Course provides an in-depth review of the laws and regulations that govern the practice of dentistry in California. Successful completion of this two-unit course is required for all RDA licensure applicants and each license renewal cycle. Students will learn the scope and purpose of the California Dental Practice Act, the duties and limitations of Registered Dental Assistants, mandated reporting requirements, and ethical obligations. The course is 100% online and self-paced, with assigned reading materials covering all relevant statutes and regulations. Upon completion, students must pass a multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 75%. The course fee is $25.00. To receive a certificate, students must text their full name, email, mailing address, and the course title “Dental Practice Act” to (661) 372-0175 . Certificates are issued by email within 2–5 business days.
